RSA CE&C 2015-2021 Group descriptions

92 MMPgroups on the development of filtrationmembranes, with SPCon the recyclingof polymers, with Applied Physics (Storm) and Biomedical Engineering (Dankers) on biomimetic materials and with groups from Mechanical Engineering on vitrimers for additive manufacturing. Within TU/e, the group is embedded in the ICMS. Funding sources in the reporting period have been diverse, reflecting the commitment to promote the implementation of fundamental discoveries in practical applications. The group has secured long-term funding through participation in the Gravitation project Functional Molecular Systems (FMS). Additionally, funding from NWO, public-private collaboration and directly from industry has formed a source of continuity. Securing new sources of funding though these channels in recent years has given further witness to the viability of the group and its research themes. Funding through these channels has also allowed the group to strengthen its infrastructure in materials science with the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, e.g., a rheometer, DMTA, TGA and mini-compounder. The access to high-resolution spectroscopic instrumentation through ICMS is also invaluable in this respect.
