Academic Awards 2025 booklet
13 Pascal adopted an analytical mathematical analysis and he was able to algebraically predict the behavior of specific bivariate bicycle codes under certain user-defined inputs, transforming a complex and messy landscape of potential inputs into a clear and predictable protocol. These insights are not only important for the fundamental aspects of quantum computing, but also provide a direct contribution to the research with ultracold neutral atoms trapped in optical tweezers, on which the quantum computer residing in the Qubit building at TU Eindhoven is based. The jury warmly congratulates Pascal with the award. This is a remarkable achievement!
